Role purposeAlpha exists to equip and serve the Church in it’s mission to help people to discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. This role will work as a member of the wider church facing team within Alpha UK. This role will primarily be focussed on building relationships and working closely with churches in a designated region, offering support, encouragement and training. - Contributes fully to the day to day operation of the team or area, always seeking to be flexible and with an attitude of service
- Able to deliver routine tasks and resolve straightforward issues
- Key contact for any Alpha activity in region
- Work closely with other RMs and SRMs in designated region to ensure regional goals are well measured and achieved
- Proactive in connecting with churches and Alpha leaders who are running Alpha in designated region, offering contact, support and training
- Tasked to ensure a high level of retention in churches running Alpha in region
- Proactive in engaging with new networks and churches, with the vision to see a significant increase in numbers of churches running courses in region (acquisition)
- Following up with churches who have historically run Alpha but are no longer. Working with churches and individuals to ensure an increase in the re-activation of churches in region
- Active in promoting, facilitating & delivering local training events
- Be present at local regional events promoting the work of Alpha
- Represent Alpha at regional conferences and speaking engagements
- Updating shared online platforms and ensuring clear data input & tracking for region (Salesforce, data cleanses, surveys)
- Collate guest stories and Church transformation stories from region
- Responsible for administrative tasks in region where needed e.g. Salesforce clean-up, call rounds, survey collection etcCore behavioural competencies

- Excellent knowledge of Alpha
- Familiarity with HTB Network
- Experience in running an Alpha Course
- Familiar with CRM systems - data input, GDPR best practice, pulling reports
- Excellent communication skills: face to face, by telephone and in writing
- The ability to work with a wide range of people including young leaders, church leaders and, on occasion, senior leaders of denominations or Christian organisations
- Confident at public speaking and presenting
- Experience in training
- Competent ITC skills: email, database, Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of team projects
- Flexibility to attend evening and weekend events or church services if required
- Ability to travel to meetings across region
- Practical networking experienceDesirable skills, experience & knowledgeThe following skills and experience would be greatly beneficial:
- Attendance at HTB Network church / Key Alpha church
- Familiarity with Alpha in other contexts e.g. Youth, Prisons, TMC
- Understanding of the breadth of the UK Christian church e.g. different denominations, current trends etc
- Theological or ministry training
- Experience in public speaking such as preaching, training, seminars
- Experience working towards targets
- Full UK driving license with access to car
