What You'll Do

As a Concrete Superintendent I, you'll oversee multiple crews and work areas while partnering closely with Senior Superintendents, Project Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, and clients to deliver exceptional projects.

You'll be responsible for turning plans into production while keeping safety, quality, and efficiency at the forefront.

Lead Safe Operations

Safety isn't paperwork.

It's leadership.

You'll:

• Champion Alpha's safety culture every day.
• Conduct site walks, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Lead by example in pre-task planning and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with company, OSHA, and project safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents and drive corrective actions when necessary.

Coordinate Field Operations

You'll keep multiple moving pieces aligned.

That means:

• Directing multiple crews and project work areas.
• Coordinating Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Removing obstacles before they impact production.
• Managing manpower, equipment, and resources efficiently.
• Keeping work progressing safely and on schedule.

Drive Planning & Production

You don't just react to problems.

You anticipate them.

You'll:

• Develop daily and weekly work plans.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Improve workflow and production sequencing.
• Identify scheduling conflicts before they become delays.
• Support both short-term execution and long-range planning.

Protect Quality

At Alpha, quality isn't inspected into the project.

It's built into every phase.

You'll:

• Inspect formwork, rebar, embeds, placements, and finishes.
• Ensure work meets plans, specifications, and tolerances.
• Coordinate corrections quickly.
• Maintain quality documentation.
• Promote craftsmanship throughout the project.

Maximize Resources

Great Superintendents know production is about more than working harder.

It's about working smarter.

You'll:

• Monitor labor productivity.
• Coordinate equipment utilization.
• Track production quantities.
• Support cost control.
• Minimize downtime through proactive planning.

Own Communication

Projects succeed when communication is clear.

You'll:

• Complete accurate daily reports and field documentation.
• Communicate schedule impacts and operational updates.
• Participate in planning and coordination meetings.
• Maintain production, labor, equipment, and quality records.
• Keep leadership informed before issues become surprises.

Develop Future Leaders

The best leaders create more leaders.

You'll:

• Mentor Foremen and Lead Workers.
• Reinforce Alpha's expectations for safety, quality, and professionalism.
• Build accountability throughout the field.
• Foster collaboration across crews and project teams.

What You Bring

Qualifications

• Successful performance as a Concrete Foreman II or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple crews and work fronts.
• Strong understanding of structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
• Knowledge of concrete means, methods, sequencing, and quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Requirements (Conditions of Employment)

Employment at Alpha Inc. is contingent upon:

• Completion of standard pre-employment screening.
• Successful completion of a background check conducted after a conditional offer; any prior issues will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis consistent with Hawai?i and federal law.
• Passing a drug test (for both full-time and part-time hires) conducted in line with Hawai?i statutory requirements.
