What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Analyst position at Alpha Inc. Hawaii?
Location: Kahului, Hawaiʻi
Department: Operations
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Annual Compensation: $80,000.00-$90,000.00
Final Compensation Will Be Based On Experience.
The Opportunity
Alpha Inc. is looking for a Process Analyst who can walk into the middle of operational complexity, see the pattern, cut through the noise, and build a better way forward.
This is not a “make pretty flowcharts and disappear” role.
This is for the person who can sit with field leaders, operations teams, and cross-functional stakeholders, understand how the work actually gets done, and turn pain points into cleaner systems, sharper workflows, stronger reporting, and measurable performance gains.
You’ll analyze the way Alpha moves — across operations, teams, tools, handoffs, bottlenecks, data, and documentation — then help build the processes that make us faster, tighter, safer, and more scalable.
If you’re equal parts analyst, builder, problem-solver, and operational translator — and you care about helping great teams do great work with less friction — this might be your lane.
About Alpha Inc.
Alpha Inc. is a locally owned Hawaiʻi company building the infrastructure, energy systems, concrete work, drilling solutions, and heavy civil projects that support island communities for generations.
We are not here to do average work.
We Are Here To Lead With Precision, Pride, And Accountability — While Staying Rooted In The Values That Define How We Show Up

As Process Analyst, you will help turn those values into daily operating rhythms: clearer workflows, better communication, stronger systems, and continuous improvement that actually sticks.
What You Will Do
As Process Analyst, you’ll be the person who helps Alpha see the machine clearly — then make it run better.
Find the Friction
You are analytical without being rigid.
Detailed without getting lost in the weeds.
Collaborative without being passive.
Curious enough to ask why — and disciplined enough to build what comes next.
Experience
Strength in Unity – You bring teams together around clearer systems and shared wins.
Alpha Mentality – You do not wait for perfect conditions; you find the gap, own the work, and make it better.
Why Alpha?
At Alpha Inc., process improvement is not a corporate buzzword. It is how we scale, compete, protect our people, serve our clients, and build Hawaiʻi’s future with intention.

What You Will Do
As Process Analyst, you’ll be the person who helps Alpha see the machine clearly — then make it run better.
Find the Friction
- Analyze existing operational workflows, systems, handoffs, and practices to identify inefficiencies, gaps, duplication, waste, and breakdown points.
- You’ll ask the right questions, listen closely, challenge assumptions respectfully, and get to the root of what is slowing teams down.
- Develop and support process improvement strategies that align with Alpha’s company goals, growth plans, and performance expectations.
- You’ll help move teams from “this is how we’ve always done it” to “this is how we win.”
- Document current-state and future-state processes using SOPs, process maps, flowcharts, and other practical tools that teams can actually use.
- Your work should not sit in a folder collecting dust. It should help people execute better.
- Collaborate with operations leadership, field teams, project stakeholders, and support departments to gather input, understand pain points, test new procedures, and drive adoption.
- You’ll need credibility with both the spreadsheet crowd and the boots-on-the-ground crew.
- Create reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools that show whether process improvements are working.
- You’ll help Alpha measure productivity, consistency, workflow health, and post-implementation results — not just activity.
- Conduct root cause analyses to support performance improvement initiatives and help leaders make better decisions with better information.
- You won’t just point at problems. You’ll help uncover why they exist and what needs to change.
- Support the implementation of digital tools, systems, or automation solutions that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
- You don’t need to be a software engineer — but you do need to be comfortable connecting operational needs with smarter tools.
- Lead or support continuous improvement meetings, workshops, and working sessions with key team members.
- You’ll help create momentum, accountability, and follow-through.
- Maintain process documentation and make sure updates are communicated, accessible, and usable by the people who need them.
- No mystery files. No outdated SOP graveyards. No “tribal knowledge only” operations.
- Ensure processes support Alpha’s values of quality, unity, growth, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.
You are analytical without being rigid.
Detailed without getting lost in the weeds.
Collaborative without being passive.
Curious enough to ask why — and disciplined enough to build what comes next.
Experience
- 3 years of experience in process analysis, continuous improvement, operations support, business analysis, project coordination, or a related role.
- Experience working in construction, infrastructure, field operations, energy, industrial services, or another operationally complex environment is a strong plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience documenting workflows, SOPs, process maps, and future-state procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with process mapping tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
- Ability to create practical reports, dashboards, tracking tools, and KPI summaries.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and follow-through.
- Comfort working with ambiguity, competing priorities, and teams with different operating styles.
- You see broken processes as opportunities, not annoyances.
- You know that the best solutions are built with the people who actually do the work.
- You understand that process improvement is not about bureaucracy — it is about making the right work easier, clearer, and more repeatable.
- Most importantly, you embody:
Strength in Unity – You bring teams together around clearer systems and shared wins.
Alpha Mentality – You do not wait for perfect conditions; you find the gap, own the work, and make it better.
