The nurse focuses on patient needs, building strong relationships, and ensuring safety and quality in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to quality, safety, and emergency policies, ensuring safe medication administration and infection control.
- Evaluate health status through data collection and assessment, analyzing reports to identify issues and develop care plans.
- Prioritize patient needs, triage in person or via phone, and implement appropriate interventions, including emergency response.
- Provide health education and counseling, and execute delegated medical functions such as administering medications and therapies.
- Coordinate care across healthcare services, manage patient populations, and advocate for patients.
- Minimum of one year of RN experience and one year operating room experience.
- Graduate of an approved RN program with clinical hours supervised by faculty or preceptor.
- State RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Strong customer service skills, knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and intra-operative medications.
- Ability to work with interruptions, handle hazardous materials, and assist with patient lifts as needed.
