Key Responsibilities: Greet patients with professionalism and compassion, register patients by collecting personal, insurance, and medical information, verify identification and insurance details, obtain necessary consents, and explain authorization forms.
Assist patients with insurance questions, verify coverage, and document any patient incapacity for signing forms.
Ensure proper patient identification through armbands, notify staff of patient arrivals, and communicate during emergency situations.
Maintain accurate records for billing and processing, follow up on delays, and support department operations.
Qualifications & Skills: Post-secondary education preferred; 0-2 years experience in healthcare or customer service.
Strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail skills.
Familiarity with EHR systems, insurance processes, and medical terminology.
Ability to handle sensitive information, remain calm under pressure, and work effectively with patients and teams.
