Role: Diabetic Nurse Educator specializing in maternal and child care, responsible for providing comprehensive diabetes education to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering individual and group diabetes education sessions tailored to patient needs
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical diabetes education programs
  • Collaborating with care teams to support lifestyle modifications, including nutrition, medication, activity, and glucose monitoring
  • Documenting and reporting patient progress using EMR and Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting
  • At least 1 year of experience as a diabetes educator
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA accepted)
