Position Objective: This position is under the direct supervision of the Security Supervisor for assigned shift of the security department and is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, patients, visitors, and staff. In the event of a disaster, Security Officer will work closely with the Nursing Supervisor to maintain hospital functionality and safety.

General Duties
Security Guard I
- Guards property against damage, fire, theft, and illegal entry
- Makes periodic tours about buildings and rounds, examining doors, windows and entrances to ensure that they are properly secured.
- Investigates disturbances, and in the event of an emergency, maintains order and safety of personnel.
- May serve as liaison with police on mutual problems.
Security Guard II
- General duties as above
- Monthly review of various security equipment (i.e. cameras, panic buttons, med sleds, etc.).
- Maintenance of security vehicles
- Securing supplies and materials of pandemic room

Required Qualifications
Security Guard I
- Completed 1st year of Law Enforcement AAS degree or equivalent in experience.
- Completed 1st year of Law Enforcement AAS degree or equivalent in experience.
