We are seeking a qualified Field Service Technician I to support the configuration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mission-critical Land Mobile Radio (LMR) subscriber systems and communication equipment.

🕐 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, program, and provision Motorola radio subscriber units using Motorola CPS, Radio Management, and RadioCentral.
- Develop and modify custom radio codeplugs and manage unit IDs and IP configurations.
- Support LMR and P25 digital/analog radio systems, RF cabling, connectors, and antennas.
- Assist with mobile radio installations, equipment racks, and in-vehicle communication accessories.
- Build, route, terminate, and test RF coaxial and data cables.
- Perform troubleshooting and Tier 1/Tier 2 diagnostics on Motorola handheld and mobile radios.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, software/firmware updates, and frequency tuning.
- Utilize RF test equipment, including service monitors, digital multimeters, wattmeters, and power supplies.
- Maintain equipment records, asset tracking, service tickets, and RMA activities.
- Follow established change-control and service management procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in LMR, RF systems, radiocommunications, public safety communications, network administration, or electronics.
- Experience with Motorola CPS, Radio Management, or RadioCentral.
- Working knowledge of LMR, P25, RF cabling, connectors, and antennas.
- Experience using basic hand tools and performing physical equipment installation and cable assembly.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certifications
- Associate CET (ETA) certification required within 6 months of assignment start.
- CompTIA Network or CCNA is highly preferred.
- Must be able to successfully complete a CJIS fingerprint-based background check.
This position is well suited for professionals with hands-on experience in radio communications, RF technology, LMR systems, electronics, or public safety communications who are comfortable working in a technical, field-oriented environment.
