What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechatronics Engineer position at Alogus Innovation & Design?
We are a small multi-disciplinary product development consultancy located in the heart of Somerville. From drones to kitchen equipment, we help our clients develop their ideas and bring them to production. We are looking for someone to join our team that is passionate about designing and building products.
Requirements:
- Motivated individual actively able to advance projects without micromanagement
- Used to working with a team to overcome roadblocks
- Working knowledge of Solidworks to develop new parts, assemblies, and drawings
- Experience coding microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP32, etc.) and/or PLCs
- Experience creating wiring diagrams for electromechanical systems
- Comfortable soldering and wiring complex systems
- Self-starter
- Comfortable in a prototyping shop
- Strong project management skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience developing IoT systems
- Experience in circuit design
- Experience in PCB design/layout (we use KiCAD)
Position:
- 2-5 years of experience
- Compensation based on experience
- On-site Monday-Friday required
