Part-Time Preschool Teacher (Ages 4–5)
Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM

Almost Home Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Preschool Teacher to join our preschool team.
This position could be a great fit for an experienced child care professional, former teacher, parent returning to the workforce, education student, or simply someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is looking for a rewarding part-time afternoon schedule.
Our afternoon teacher plays an important role in helping our preschoolers finish their day with engaging activities, outdoor play, and lots of positive interaction—and in making sure parents leave feeling welcomed, informed, and confident about their child's day.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving afternoon snack.
- Supervising outdoor play and large motor activities.
- Leading engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
- Observing and documenting children's progress.
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment.
- Providing exceptional communication with parents during afternoon pick-up.
- Working cooperatively with our preschool teaching team.
We're looking for someone who:
- Genuinely enjoys working with preschool-aged children.
- Is dependable, positive, patient, and energetic.
- Communicates warmly and professionally with families.
- Works well as part of a collaborative teaching team.
- Has experience working with children through employment, education, parenting, volunteering, coaching, babysitting, or a similar setting.
- Has education or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field OR relevant experience working with young children.
