Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property Manager to oversee 15 residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, leasing, and administrative functions, ensuring the smooth operation of properties while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and property maintenance, along with proficiency in property management software such as Yardi and OneSite. The Property Manager will be responsible for maintaining positive tenant relationships, managing lease agreements, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple properties, including leasing, renewals, and tenant relations
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards
- Coordinate property leasing activities, including marketing vacancies, conducting tours, and processing applications
- Administer lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation in accordance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Handle conflict management issues professionally to resolve tenant disputes effectively
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate filing systems for legal documents, contracts, and administrative records
- Engage in customer relationship management to foster positive tenant interactions and upsell additional services or amenities when appropriate
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and oversee facilities management tasks
- Ensure compliance with Section 8 housing programs and LIHTC regulations where applicable
- Perform administrative duties including phone etiquette, filing, data entry, and reporting
- Some onsite cleaning and painting
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict effectively
- Experience in lease negotiations, contracts management, and legal administrative processes
- Office experience including data entry, filing systems, and administrative support functions
- Facilities management experience is desirable for overseeing property maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment
