TITLE: Digital Print and Cut Operator
DATE OF JOB POSTING: April 2026
REPORTS TO: Art and Die Supervisor
FUNCTION: Operate production machinery in the Art & Die Department. Digitally print and cut specialized products on large format printers based on precise order specifications.
HOURS: Full time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. Occasional overtime.
LOCATION: Almetek Industries, Inc. at 2 Joy Dr. Hackettstown NJ 07840
COMPENSATION: Hourly, non-exempt. Starting at $17-$22 per hour.

DUTIES
- Operate production machinery in a safe and efficient manner based on your company training in order to complete manufacturing orders in a precise and timely manner.
- Select the correct material based on MO and stock, set up the print file on the computer, load material on and off the printers (rolls can weigh up to 50 pounds) then print, monitor quality control, roll and cut as required. Troubleshoot as needed.
- Responsible for learning all computer software required to run machinery.
- Perform all maintenance required in an established scheduled maintenance program.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipate needs; inform Supervisor of parts needed.
- Maintain safe, clean and organized working environment by complying with department procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Work in a safe manner always – adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and needs.
- Any other duties that are deemed necessary by Supervisor, Lead and Plant Management.
- The ability to stop and start multiple jobs at once on various printers and keep an eye on all the jobs running without errors or frustration is the ultimate expectation for this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Be able to sit, stand, walk, reach, twist, fine and gross hand manipulation, as well as lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- May be exposed to loud noises, oil, fumes, as well as hot and cold climates in the plant.
- Computer literate.
- Detail oriented multi-tasker.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude that deals well with uncertainty and changing priorities.
- Comfortable with short turnaround times and deadlines.
- Strong adherence to safety.
- Team player attitude and willingness to help in other production areas as needed.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
