Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing venipuncture and blood sampling, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques, as well as excellent patient service skills. The Phlebotomist will work closely with patients to collect specimens for diagnostic testing while maintaining a sterile environment.
Duties
- Perform venipuncture and blood sampling in accordance with established protocols.
- Collect, label, and process specimens accurately to ensure quality testing.
- Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent contamination.
- Document patient information and specimen details in compliance with laboratory standards.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Monitor vital signs as needed before, during, and after specimen collection.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support efficient workflow within the laboratory setting.
Requirements
- Proven experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with anatomy and physiology relevant to specimen collection.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience in specimen collection/processing and understanding of vital signs monitoring.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

Shift: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 9:00am to 7:00pm
Tuesday – 8:30am to 5:00pm rotating Saturday - 7AM-12PM –
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $23.03 - $27.73 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
