As a Cook at Allure of Peru, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals prepared with care. You will follow established menus, policies, and regulations while collaborating closely with our Dietitian and Food Services leadership to deliver exceptional dining experiences every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
- Assist with special diet menu planning as prescribed by physicians
- Ensure food is prepared and served according to safety and sanitation standards
- Work closely with the facility Dietitian to implement dietary recommendations
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local food service regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prior dietary or food service experience in healthcare preferred, but not required
- Current State Food Service Sanitation Certification, but not required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- A self-motivated, flexible team player with strong integrity
- A compassionate approach when working with residents and coworkers
- Ability to move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to taste and smell food to ensure quality
- Ability to assist with resident evacuation in emergency situations
