Job Summary:

At Allure of Peru, we are all family! We're looking for a highly skilled and dedicated CNA and Resident Scheduler to join our team. As a CNA and Resident Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating a monthly CNA schedule, and ensuring that each shift is staffed appropriately following local, state, and federal guidelines. You would also be responsible for managing resident appointments and van rides outside of the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edit and maintain the monthly schedule to account for requests time off, new hires, and terminated employees, and post the schedule for CNAs five days prior to the first day on the schedule as outlined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Coordinate with the Director of Nursing and Human Resources Director to request increasing staffing levels when necessary.
• Update the daily assignment sheets and direct care staff hour sheets to ensure accurate records and notify CNAs and nursing staff of their assignments.
• Find coverage for shifts due to call-offs and ensure that shifts stay open until replacement arrives in the event of tardiness.
• Update attendance sheets for CNAs and Nurses and notify Human Resources of employees falling below attendance standards.
• Notify the Director of Nursing daily of reported illnesses and update the staff infection log.
• Coordinate resident appointments and van rides with nursing staff and van driver
• Occasionally drive residents to appointments in facility van.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to multi-task, quick-thinking, and problem-solving to resolve staffing needs as they arise.
• Scheduling experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Valid drivers licence.
  
  
  

Physical Demands:

• Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly; lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
