About The Position
Updike is a Distribution Company based here in Phoenix, AZ. We operate a full truckload, dry freight transportation fleet running in the states of AZ, CA, NV and UT. We have plenty of customers, with a mix of business running in or out of our warehouse locations and business that is exclusively transportation. Some are drop and hook with trailer pools, some are live load or live unload.
Our fleet averages about 2500 miles per week and are home weekly. Depending on how you like to run and how much you want to be home, you can realistically get up to 2700 miles per week if you choose to do so.

- 0-24 miles: $2.50/mile
- 25-99 miles: $1.77/mile
- 100-149 miles: $1.37/mile
- 150-199 miles: $1.31/mile
- 200-249 miles: $1.29/mile
- 250-500 miles: $1.27/mile
- 501 miles: $1.23/mile
- Fuel Surcharge paid on West Coast Fuel prices
- All dispatched empty miles pay $0.35 per mile
- $35 per additional stop or pickup
- 100% of lumper fees, if required, are reimbursed
- Paid detention time - $35 hourly
