• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of accounting experience in a multi-national publicly traded manufacturing or life science organization with exposure to inventory and product costing
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and COGS is preferred.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to business partner and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task and reprioritize deliverables, goals, and requests to support the needs of the business
• Interest and proficiency with using technology, including ERP, business intelligence, reporting, and AI tools.
• MBA or CPA strongly preferred

Business Justification
This contract position is a newly created role to support Genmab’s continued growth and commercial expansion for global cost accounting.
This role, which reports into the Associate Director, Trade AR and Product Cost Accounting Operations, is responsible for product costing, inventory accounting, standard cost maintenance, reporting across multiple legal entities and third-party manufacturing partners. High collaboration and business partnering with Supply Chain, FP&A, External Reporting, Technical Accounting, SAP Business CoE, Internal Audit, and External Reporting is expected to support commercial launch readiness and ensure complete and accurate financial reporting along with SOX internal control compliance and operating effectiveness.
Filling this position is essential to maintain timely and accurate month-end close activities, support new product launches and manufacturing transfers, develop new scalable processes and ways of working internally and externally, strengthen the SOX control environment, and provide special project support as needed for our business.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Supply Chain, FP&A, and External Reporting to perform monthly/quarterly/annual period-end close and reporting deliverables in Blackline and SAP (i.e., prepare manual journal entries, closing tasks, and Balance Sheet account reconciliations) to ensure complete and accurate inventory valuation and reporting, including the evaluation of inventory impairment reserves.
• Support SAP Product Costing processes for all aspects of standard cost roll ups including component cost updates, overhead rates, bill of materials review, and routing maintenance (PIR reviews and subcontracting process).
• Maintain and analyze standard costs, inventory discrepancies, inventory reserves, and inventory valuation.
• Maintain internal control operating effectiveness and prepare supporting documentation in accordance with SOX controls, policies and procedures. Coordinating implementation of accounting controls processes or new systems as needed.
• Support new product launches, manufacturing transfers, and process improvement initiatives, as we move from pre-commercial to commercial stage specifically in inventory/cost accounting.
• Support the SAP accelerated close and contribute to SAP enhancements, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
• Identify and implement improvements in inventory control and costing processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Support additional Accounting Operation responsibilities and ad-hoc tasks/requests/projects as needed, including cross training with Trade AR for business continuity support
