Title: Research Scientist II

Pay Rate: $ 47/ HR. with Benefits

Location: Albany, NY

Duration – 12 Months

Shift Time - Standard Shift

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field

• Minimum 2-4 years’ relevant experience

OR

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field

• Minimum 0-2 years’ relevant experience

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze compounds using a range of analytical techniques

2. Write analytical method procedures to establish format

3. Write analytical validation reports

4. Develop new procedures for new compounds

5. Process samples with the standard procedures effectively and independently. Analyze experimental data for validity before reporting results

6. Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope

7. Contribute to the completion of routine technical tasks

8. Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting simple data sets and providing summaries

9. Conduct electronic searches for applicable methods and related procedures

10. Manage workload and time to perform multiple projects effectively, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed on a timely basis

11. Maintain a detailed and accurate recording of activities and results

12. Contribute to the review of OOS and deviations

13. Author and execute protocols. Understand and use basic risk assessment and root cause tools

14. Track and trend data as applicable

15. Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or service

16. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects

17. Display the ability to assimilate previously gained knowledge and experience and apply those concepts, techniques, etc. to new and related project areas

18. Follow responsible actions regarding chemical disposal. Maintain compliance with all regulations at the federal, state, and local levels

19. Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices

20. Participate in self-development activities and training of others
