Engineer 3 (3485)
Pay Rate: $48.91/hr
Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:
The role involves creating new standards and significantly updating outdated ones, including:
Transmission underground standards (e.g., potholes, riser structures, pole head configurations)
Integration of new materials and technologies (e.g., high temperature/low sag conductors, lightweight steel poles)
Updating standard drawings, configurations, and associated compatible units (material kits used broadly in the field)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering is a requirement (Electrical, Structural or Mechanical Engineering)
Engineer 3 level only with 5-7 years of relevant experience
The individual must require minimal ramp up and already understand transmission components, electrical system behavior, and practical design considerations.
Design Background
Practical transmission design experience is strongly preferred, as it directly supports the ability to write effective, buildable standards.
