Job Description
Under general supervision, the Electronics/Cable Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including wiring, soldering, cable harnessing, and component installation. This role requires the ability to follow detailed instructions, work to precise specifications, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the assembly process.
Essential Functions
Assemble components, assemblies, and subassemblies according to specifications.
Perform setups and adjustments, maintaining tolerances per requirements.
Complete electronic assemblies such as cables, harnesses, chassis, and printed circuit boards, as well as mechanical assemblies (e.g., panels, LRUs, batteries, servo motors).
Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies as needed.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Assist with training lower-level assemblers as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3 years of relevant assembly experience.
Must be familiar with tools - Hot tweezer, soldering, caliper, tape measure.
Understand how to read blueprints, terminology, specifications and tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wire lists, blueprints, and specifications.
Knowledge of soldering and compression connection tools.
Basic computer skills relevant to the role.
Good visual perception and ability to distinguish colors.
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
Willingness to work extended hours if required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Soldering certificate preferred.
