Role Overview
The Accounts Receivable Director is a key finance leader responsible for owning and optimizing Allstar’s Order-to-Cash (OTC) process while driving operational excellence, cash flow visibility, and financial discipline across the organization.
This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, Finance leadership, and external customers to ensure timely collections, effective credit and risk management, and clear, actionable reporting. The ideal candidate brings deep CPG experience, strong people leadership, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Order-to-Cash & Financial Leadership
- Lead and own the end-to-end Order-to-Cash process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely cash collection
- Establish financial controls and accountability across invoicing, cash application, deductions, and credit memos
- Set and execute departmental and individual goals aligned with company objectives and Allstar’s Operating System
Deductions, Allowances & Customer Resolution
- Own customer allowances and lead the deduction management process to ensure timely resolution
- Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to resolve issues efficiently while protecting Allstar’s financial interests
Cash Flow, Credit & Risk Management
- Ensure visibility to customer balances and drive timely collection of receivables
- Lead the Credit Committee process, enabling timely decision-making and proactive risk mitigation
- Enable A/R forecasting to support enterprise cash flow planning
Systems, Process Improvement & Controls
- Assess and recommend ERP and system enhancements to improve accuracy, scalability, and efficiency
- Establish and enforce best-in-class OTC policies, procedures, and accounting principles
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through end-to-end process reviews
Reporting, Insights & Close
- Deliver weekly KPI and KPM reporting to provide insight and support data-driven decision-making
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end OTC close activities
- Develop systems for collecting, analyzing, validating, and reporting receivables data
People Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing Accounts Receivable team
- Hire, coach, and retain talent while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted business partner
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 15 years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience (Manager, Senior Manager, or Director level)
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience required; Direct-to-Consumer experience a plus
- Working with a Factor a Plus
- Deep expertise in deduction management within a CPG environment
- Minimum of 7 years managing and developing direct reports
- Strong ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting systems, and financial databases
- Proven knowledge of A/R principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Collaborative, relationship-driven leader with a continuous improvement mindset
- Demonstrated integrity, discipline, and accountability with a results-oriented approach
Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
