AllServe Business Support is currently seeking a Accounts Payable/ Business Office Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure residents have a pay source by handling all aspects of billings and collections for our Ohio facilities.
Reports To: Corporate Billing Supervisor
Job Summary: The Accounts Payable/ Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the facility's billing and Accounts Receivable
Education/ Experience: Minimum of a High School Diploma with at least one year of bookkeeping experience. Knowledge of long-term billing preferred.
Business Office Manager Qualifications:
- Must possess excellent communications, organizational, and observational skills.
- Must be able to deal tactfully and relate well with supervisors, co-workers, staff, residents and families.
- Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintenance of the Accounts Receivable module of the financial software system
- Manage the census files in the software system, including admissions, discharges, levels of care, payer types, room occupancy, and resident demographic information and to ensure the accuracy of such information.
- Supervise the monthly billing practices, including third party insurance and private pay billing.
- Monitor cash receipts, including bank deposits, account payment posting in the software system, and filing of insurance Remittance Advice reports.
- Generate and review of month-end reports for accuracy.
- Responsible for handling delinquent accounts and collections efforts.
- Review the Pending Medical Assistance list and coordinate with the Social Services Director to ensure MA approvals.
- Monitor pending insurance claims for prompt approval and payment, including investigation and rebilling's when appropriate
- Communication with residents and or/ other responsible parties concerning insurance coverage and billing concerns
- . Management of the Resident Trust Funds
- Responsible for keeping the Director of Finance apprised of all the business office issues.
- Participate in all the offered in-services and related training and educate other staff members, as necessary
- Maintain resident rights , dignity, safety, and confidentiality at all times.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or the Administrator.
