Commercial Lines Underwriter - Large Growing Insurance Carrier - Base Salary to 100k/year - Honolulu, HI
- Our client, a well-established and expanding insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their team in Honolulu, HI. Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Commercial Lines accounts.
- Analyze new business, endorsement, and renewal risks to identify exposures and determine appropriate underwriting actions (accept, modify, or decline).
- Build and maintain strong agency relationships to drive growth, retention, and profitability.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to adjust underwriting strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with underwriting team members and leadership to achieve branch production goals and enhance best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, or related.
- 1 year of experience with CMP, Commercial Auto, Commercial Umbrella, or Workers Compensation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace applications and underwriting software
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 90k - 100k/year range
