IT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist position will support all related systems, applications, and hardware.
Provide support for users, ensure accuracy of information, and provide installation and training services as needed. Respond to IT support services and provide efficient service in installation/configuration of PCs, Mac devices, software, printers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls and related peripheral devices, and relocation of computer equipment.
Classification
Regular, Full-time, Non-Exempt. Typical work schedule is from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., including 30 min. for lunch and two 15 min. breaks Monday thru Friday, excluding paid Holidays. Some field environments may necessitate modifications to this schedule. Periodic after-hours and/or weekend work may be required.
Reports to The direct supervisor for this position is the IT Manager. Indirect supervisors include company management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshoots desktop systems and client applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Apple workstations, network cabling, Windows servers, Windows networks, and other related equipment, devices and systems.
Performs software and application installation and upgrades.
Maintain detailed notes of work activity and user interactions in ticketing system.
Provides detailed network assessments and diagrams for client environments.
Maintains confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network.
Trains employees on the use of technology and internal operations.
Serves as an escalation point for advanced technical issues and requests.
Administration and ownership of MSP Network Monitoring Tools.
Responsible for assignment of Help Desk deliverables and team scheduling using appropriate tools and ensures established SLA goals are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- A friendly and positive attitude.
- Minimum 3 years’ PC support experience in a Windows network environment.
- Solid, demonstrated knowledge network protocols and LAN/WAN environments.
- Ability to independently identify, research and resolve complex technical issues.
- An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
- A decisive individual who possesses a detail-oriented perspective.
- Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A well-organized, self-directed individual who can work with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Must have experience and good understanding of the following: Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, MacOS.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays, pursuant with industry demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certification.
- Network Certification.
- Familiarity with ConnectWise ticketing system.
- Degree in related field and 4 years of help desk experience, or equivalent applicable work experience.
Essential Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, pull, push boxes, and manipulate equipment which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Includes a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues.

Pay: $56,809.95 - $62,577.57 per year
