Quality Manager
Location: Waukesha, WI
Salary range: $90,000 – $100,000 annually
Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision with low premiums; tuition reimbursement; 401k with match; profit-sharing opportunities
Are you a confident, results-driven quality professional who knows how to lead with authority while still bringing people along with you? We're looking for a Quality Manager who can walk into a results-driving environment, earn respect through action, and keep things moving — day in and day out.
About the Role
As Quality Manager, you'll take full ownership of our quality management system and everything that flows through it. From audits and inspections to corrective actions and customer complaints, you'll be the person who makes sure our products meet the standards our customers and regulators expect — and that our team is accountable for getting there.
This isn't a behind-the-desk role. You'll be on the floor, in the details, and at the table with production, engineering, and purchasing to solve problems and drive continuous improvement. You'll manage a team of quality inspectors and quality control personnel, setting the tone with clear expectations, steady leadership, and a genuine commitment to doing things right.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and maintaining a robust QMS in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable standards
- Overseeing product inspections, audits, and testing of materials, components, and finished goods
- Investigating defects, identifying root causes, and leading corrective and preventive actions
- Planning, prioritizing, and scheduling daily department workflow to keep things on track
- Managing supplier and vendor quality in collaboration with the Purchasing team
- Collecting and analyzing quality data and KPIs to identify trends and drive improvement
- Addressing customer quality complaints with urgency and a clear corrective action process
- Leading internal and external audits and coordinating the annual ISO management review
- Overseeing non-conforming material handling, calibration records, and documentation compliance
What We're Looking For
You're someone who holds the line — not by being the loudest voice in the room, but by being the most prepared. You know how to manage with confidence and composure, follow through on commitments, and build a culture of accountability while keeping morale intact. You lead by example, and people respect you for it.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- 5 years in a quality control environment
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Strong understanding of measurement equipment and metrology practices (metrology experience preferred)
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems
