We are seeking a Head Coach / Assistant Director to help lead studio operations, coach clients, support sales and retention efforts, and to assist our team in building an exceptional member experience. Position Overview
The Head Coach / Assistant Director serves as a key leader within the studio. This role combines:
- High-level coaching
- Team leadership
- Member experience oversight
- Operational support
- Sales and growth responsibilities
You will help set the tone for the culture, energy, professionalism, and training quality of the studio.
Responsibilities
Coaching & Training
- Deliver effective and engaging small-group personal training sessions (~20 sessions per week)
- Provide tailored coaching and exercise modifications for unique individual needs
- Conduct individualized and recurring assessments, onboarding sessions, and goal reviews
- Ensure consistent implementation of the Alloy training system across all studio training
Leadership & Operations
- Assist Director with daily operations, managing scheduling, accountability, and studio standards
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of coaches
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational excellence
- Help create a positive, team-oriented culture
Sales & Member Retention
- Conduct consultations and introductory workouts
- Assist with membership sales and lead follow-up
- Build strong relationships that improve retention and referrals
- Support local marketing and community outreach efforts
Qualifications
- Nationally recognized personal training certification required (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, etc.)
- CPR/AED certification required (or ability to obtain before starting)
- 2 years of coaching or personal training experience required
- Experience with corrective exercise and functional movement strongly preferred
- Leadership, management, or sales experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated professionalism, with strong communication and relationship-building skills

Schedule Expectations
- Full-time leadership presence within the studio (40 hours weekly)
- Early morning and evening availability
- Some Saturday availability expected
