Costing & Sourcing Associate
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Costing & Sourcing Associate to support our quoting, purchasing, and sourcing activities. This role works closely with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to analyze costs, maintain quote records, and assist with supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customer quotes by calculating product costs, freight, secondary operations, and related expenses.
- Work with the Sales team to obtain drawings, specifications, and technical information.
- Learn company products, vendors, and sourcing processes for domestic and imported products.
- Review and maintain accurate quote documentation and electronic records.
- Assist in evaluating new and existing suppliers for quality, delivery, and pricing.
- Utilize company systems to review inventory and costing information.
- Support the Operations Manager and Purchasing team with various projects and duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Education: college degree or some college preferred
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
