We are seeking a detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about microbiology, aseptic environments, and analytical quality who thrives in a regulated laboratory setting.
Essential Job Functions

- Time management skills to ensure timely preparation of samples for testing
- Receive and log in samples in preparation for analysis. Review sample and any attached documentation to assign an identification number and enter information into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Responsible for discarding samples in biohazard waste containers
- Daily communication of issues related to laboratory equipment, supplies, workload scheduling and participation in continuous improvement activities
- Contact customer, when necessary, to obtain and clarify missing or unclear information to ensure that identification of client code, test code, and sample contents are accurate
- Prepare packages for pick up by shipping vendors. Follow appropriate procedures to send packages and maintain all related documentation
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related field is preferred.
