Patient Care Coordinator
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Work Arrangement: Fully remote
Training: Occasional travel to the Carmel office may be required

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support Health Information Management (HIM) and Solarity operations. This position is responsible for processing medical record requests, indexing and uploading documents, managing work queues, and ensuring patient health information remains accurate, secure, and accessible.
The ideal candidate has previous medical records or healthcare administrative experience, understands HIPAA and patient privacy requirements, and can work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned work baskets within the Solarity document management system.
- Process and respond to medical record requests while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Index, upload, review, and verify documents within the Electronic Health Record system.
- Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, complete, and readily available.
- Monitor work queues and complete assigned tasks within established timelines.
- Assist providers and practice staff with record retrieval and documentation needs.
- Identify and resolve missing, inaccurate, or incorrectly indexed documentation.
- Communicate with patients, providers, and internal departments regarding record requests.
- Collaborate with remote team members through email, chat, and other virtual communication tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or a clerical healthcare role.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality, and privacy requirements.
- Strong data entry, organizational, and computer skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to accurately organize, maintain, and retrieve medical records.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify documentation discrepancies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Electronic Health Record or Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Experience with Epic and/or Solarity strongly preferred.
- Previous customer service experience, particularly within a healthcare setting.
- Experience processing medical record or release-of-information requests.
