FACILITIES MANAGER
Status: Part Time (20 hours per week), Non-Exempt
Job Summary:
The Facilities Manager ensures the upkeep of our physical plant and facilitates the use of our building by both church groups and outside guests. The Facilities Manager is expected to have basic skills for handling repairs and maintenance projects, along with coordinating with outside vendors for larger projects. Additionally, this role involves event set-up, limited landscaping duties, light janitorial duties, and attention to building safety and cleanliness. Availability to be present on Sunday mornings to help with opening/closing the church building and supporting church activities is a requirement of the position.
Essential Functions:
- Handle basic repairs related to carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance plan for the facility.
- Set-up and tear down rooms for events.
- Coordinate with landscaping, janitorial, and other vendors performing work on church premises to ensure quality and completion of responsibilities/projects.
- Communicate with staff and church leaders regarding ongoing tasks and prioritization of projects.
- Address any urgent janitorial or landscaping issues in between vendor visits.
- Coordinate an annual all-church volunteer workday.
Other Responsibilities:
- Coordinate volunteer help as needed
- Participate in staff meetings as appropriate
- Attend relevant meetings with church committees and lay leaders
- Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have at least a high school diploma and prior relevant experience.
