Verdant Bridge Group is partnering with a fast-growing owner and operator of premier baseball tournament facilities to hire a Grounds Superintendent. This is a first superintendent role with real room to grow inside a national network of facilities.
The Opportunity
Lead grounds and facility operations for a multi-field synthetic turf tournament complex and a nearby stadium that hosts collegiate summer baseball. You’ll have a full-time Assistant Superintendent and a seasonal crew, and you’ll partner with tournament operations and stadium leadership to keep both sites clean, safe, and tournament-ready. The season runs March through October, with the busiest stretch in June and July.
What You’ll Do
Maintain synthetic playing surfaces, dugouts, and field perimeters to a high standard
Hire, train, schedule, and lead seasonal staff and interns
Oversee common area mowing, trimming, and landscaping
Manage building maintenance, custodial, restrooms, fencing, and parking areas
Run game day operations, including between-game field turnover and keeping spectator areas clean and safe
Work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays during peak season (June/July)
What You Bring
Baseball field experience preferred
Experience leading a crew, including seasonal staff or interns
Comfort in a fast-paced tournament environment and all weather conditions
Horticulture degree or certificate helpful, not required
CSFM preferred, not required
Great fit for: assistant superintendents and head groundskeepers at tournament complexes, minor league or college ballparks, and parks and rec sports complexes who are ready to step up.
