DAY PROGRAM MANAGER - Mercer County, NJ

Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Allies provides great care and opportunities to the individuals through recreational, educational, vocational and cultural programs that add depth to their lives. Allies services are entirely customizable to meet the unique needs, hopes, dreams and desires of the people being served.

DAY PROGRAM MANAGER PURPOSE:

The Day Program Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of fun, engaging and educational activities which help our participants advance their life and vocational skills. The Day Program Manager is also responsible for supervising all Day Program Staff. The right candidate will be passionate about supporting day program participants in fully accessing their community (through trips, daily outings, community based volunteerism and more) as well as providing supportive care.

Allies, Inc. Day Programs are highly innovative, community based initiatives with a special focus on vocational skill development. An ideal candidate has the leadership skills and managerial experience to direct the Day Program staff effectively. Timeliness and reliability are a must.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or High School Diploma combined with at least three years working with people with disabilities.
  • One year of administrative and supervisory experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid unrestricted Driver license with good driving record.
  • On call 24 hours a day for emergencies in cooperation with other agency staff.
  • Basic Computer Literacy
  • Ability to lift or transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English and direct/respond to individual's needs

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Community Integration Support Specialists within program site.
  • Responsible for implementation of daily activities.
  • Work a flexible 40 hour schedule.
  • Provide supervisor with timely and accurate reports.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Individual Service Plan
  • Maintain compliance with the DDD Adult Training Services Manual.
  • Promote and maintain the public image of Allies, Inc.
  • Successfully completes required residential training including: CPR and First Aid; Medication Administration; Preventing Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; Shifting Expectations, Life Experience, and Services; In House Orientation; Crisis Management; New Hire Orientation; Life Threatening Emergencies (Danielle's Law) and Corporate Compliance.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
