Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20 Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents and daily activities to maintain accurate records for the location.
• Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and responding to inquiries, helping to create a welcoming environment.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required for escalated situations.
• Follow all company and client protocols, adapting to changing environments and requirements specific to the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
