As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Visitor Services in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while collaborating with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and tenants while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a public transportation facility.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned terminal areas, parking facilities, roadways, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports, and communicate observations to supervisors and designated airport personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
