Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer Access Control in Auburn Hills, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, document security-related activity, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with property staff and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
