Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Decatur, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and controlling entry points at the assigned location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to provide peace of mind, and deliver outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This role is ideal for those who are comfortable using a computer or tablet and enjoy engaging with people in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
