Allied Universal® is hiring a Director, Corporate Human Resources. The Director, Corporate Human Resources, will interact with all levels of management while partnering with the Centers of Excellence to accomplish company-wide projects and initiatives. The Director, Corporate Human Resources position is responsible for oversight and management of the Corporate Human Resources and Executive Administration functions to plan, direct, and coordinate the administrative functions of Allied Universal. This role requires significant “C” Suite interaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Corporate Human Resources team, providing direct oversight of the Corporate Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Administration team
- Provide oversight and leadership for the Executive Administration team
- Lead Human Resources implementations for company‑wide initiatives by partnering with Centers of Excellence and business leaders to identify objectives, develop strategies, and implement solutions aligned with business needs
- Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for key business leaders on corporate employee relations matters, collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand and address business requirements
- Project manage and oversee the delivery of Human Resources programs, policies, and processes that support field operations
- Partner with the Vice President of Human Resources on ad hoc tasks and emerging issues, determining the most effective approach for resolution and executive presentation
- Through leadership of the Corporate Administration team, oversee the rewards and recognition program, including committee review of scholarship and education reimbursement applications, coordination with marketing on field communications, and recommendation of strategic enhancements to existing processes
- Lead and implement continuous process improvement initiatives across Human Resources programs in collaboration with Corporate and Field Human Resources Directors
- Provide subject matter expertise on Human Resources processes and governance, including oversight of the HR Shared Services (HRSS) team
- Partner with the Information Technology team on system enhancements and changes impacting Human Resources processes
- Approve SuccessFactors requests, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies and practices
- Manage senior executive onboarding, ensuring a seamless and effective transition experience
- Coordinate immigration and visa‑related activities with outside counsel in compliance with applicable regulations
- Serve as the Personal Most Knowledgeable (PMK) for outside legal counsel during depositions arising from Employment Law cases
- Lead and support corporate community involvement and volunteer initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible human resources management experience
- High school diploma with a minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible human resources management experience
- Minimum of seven (7) human resources managerial experience required, including direct responsibility for employee relations, policy and procedure development and administration, workers’ compensation and safety program management, and senior level business involvement
- Experience with multi-state operations in a highly regulated service industry and/or oversight in organization with high-volume entry-level workforce
- Working knowledge of automated payroll/HRIS systems
- Strong working knowledge of all labor laws in all states for which incumbent would be responsible (geographic region), as well as extensive knowledge of relevant federal employment laws/regulations, workers’ compensation/OSHA procedures and regulations, and discrimination/harassment investigation and defense procedures
- Proven ability to take initiative, prioritize multiple competing tasks, and manage deadlines effectively
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage professionally at all levels, effectively de-escalate tense situations, and collaborate as a team player across the organization and with clients
- Ability to articulate policies and procedures in a clear, concise manner
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- MBA or advanced Human Resources-related degree
- Professional Human Resources certification (e.g., SHRM-CP; SHRM - SCP)
- Prior work experience liaising with union representatives and managing a workforce under a Collective Bargaining Agreement
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Base salary range is based on experience: $100,000 to $140,000, 20% annual bonus opportunity
- Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance
- Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements
- Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
- Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
