As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. You will provide professional communication and customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of movement throughout assigned areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
