Brief Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the administrative supervision of the Coordinator of Work Services, the position is responsible for the social/vocational development of individuals enrolled in the Work Services Program of the Vocational Training Facility. Instructs, supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in assembling parts or assemblies into units in support of workshop contracts.
Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the age-specific needs of the individuals served.
Type of supervision exercised: Full. Jobs reporting to this position: Six production employees.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
One year’s experience working with individuals who are mentally/physically disabled is required. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Good verbal and written skills and interpersonal skills required for effective communication with employees, trainees, and management.
Must have valid PA drivers license and a clean driving record for three years.
