As a locally focused company, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team at our Campbell Industrial Park facility to support our continued growth and operational efficiency.
Position Overview and Compensation
- Position: Shop Assistant / Warehouse Clerk
- Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
- Employment: Full Time (Monday–Friday). Possible overtime required based on project schedules.
- Location: 91-444 Komohana St Unit D, Kapolei HI 96707 (Campbell Industrial Park)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Material Logistics: Receive, inspect, and unload incoming deliveries of ornamental, chain link, and high-security fencing materials. Organize and stock materials according to company standards.
- Project Support: Accurately pull and stage materials for field crews using work orders. Ensure all components for scheduled jobs, including custom-fabricated gates and hardware—are ready for deployment.
- Strategic Job Costing & QuickBooks: Utilize QuickBooks to track all material movement and shop labor. Explicitly responsible for allocating shop labor and materials to specific project codes to ensure accurate job costing and solve reporting discrepancies.
- Inventory Control: Perform routine cycle counts and assist with audits. Maintain optimal stocking levels of core fencing components (vinyl, chain link, etc.) and report shortages to the Material Specialist immediately.
- DOT Compliance: Maintain and manage all required Department of Transportation (DOT) documentation. Ensure departmental compliance with DOT regulations for all transported materials and equipment.
- Collaboration: Coordinate daily with the Superintendent, Construction Manager, and Material Specialist to prioritize project staging and resolve inventory needs.
- Operations: Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load/unload heavy trucks and bulky construction equipment. Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver’s License. A DOT License is a mandatory requirement for this position; candidates must already possess or be able to immediately obtain and maintain a DOT License as a condition of employment. (Pass a DOT physical examination)
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly preferred. Must have the ability to perform precise data entry and understand the financial impact of accurate labor tracking.
- Material Knowledge: Candidates should possess or be willing to quickly gain expertise in fencing materials, including ornamental, chain link, and vinyl, as well as ASTM specifications.
- Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills for interaction with vendors, delivery drivers, and construction crews.
- Experience: Preferred experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or the construction industry.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Ability to safely lift and carry loads of 50 lbs regularly.
- Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout a full work shift.
- Environment: Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor warehouse/shop conditions, exposed to Hawaii's environmental elements.
