Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise Linux and virtual infrastructure environments. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of production systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments (versions 6, 7, 8, and 9) across both hardware and operating systems
- Manage and support VMware vSphere to maintain a highly available, virtualized server environment
- Configure, monitor, and maintain server processes, system configurations, and backup operations
- Proactively monitor Linux and VMware platform performance and health
- Maintain accurate server inventory and configuration data within the CMDB
- Support release management processes, including documenting, planning, and implementing system changes
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Linux security patching activities
- Automate routine processes, track incidents, and document system updates
- Assist with data center operations, including racking and stacking equipment
- Provide 24/7 production support, including participation in an on-call rotation
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support after-hours release deployments
- Deliver technical expertise to ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of server infrastructure
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to maintain service levels and system availability
- Stay current on emerging technologies, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions
- Support planning and implementation of infrastructure upgrades and changes
- Promote best practices in system design, deployment, and automation
- Demonstrate a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on results

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5–7 years of relevant experience, or
- 6–9 years of equivalent hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, application support, cloud computing, or disaster recovery
- Proven expertise in at least one infrastructure domain, such as:
- Compute
- Storage
- Database
- Application support
- Collaboration tools
- Cloud hosting and related technologies
