About the Position:

Allied Resources is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Capital Projects to support capital improvement projects at a growing advanced manufacturing facility in Northern Delaware. This on-site position offers the opportunity to manage electrical project scopes from concept through startup within an active production environment. Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical scope of capital projects from initial planning through commissioning and turnover to operations.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and cost estimates for electrical system modifications and upgrades.
• Design and specify electrical distribution equipment, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panels, feeders, VFDs, motors, grounding systems, and lighting.
• Review and coordinate engineering deliverables from third-party design firms, including one-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards, including NEC, NFPA 70E, and facility electrical safety programs.
• Support electrical system studies, including arc flash, short-circuit, and protective device coordination evaluations.
• Coordinate installation activities, plant outages, tie-ins, and startup efforts while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.
• Oversee electrical contractors and field activities to ensure safe, quality execution of project work.
• Participate in management of change (MOC), safety reviews, risk assessments, and project documentation processes.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, process, mechanical, and controls teams to successfully execute facility improvement initiatives.
• Support utility infrastructure and critical manufacturing power systems as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years of electrical engineering experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
• Strong knowledge of MCCs, switchgear, transformers, motors, VFDs, grounding systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, arc flash analysis, and electrical safety programs.
• Experience supporting capital projects in operating manufacturing facilities from installation through startup.
• Proven ability to coordinate contractors and manage project activities in active production environments.
• Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with hazardous classified electrical installations, including Class I, Division 2 environments.
• Familiarity with power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM.
• Experience utilizing AutoCAD Electrical.
• Exposure to instrumentation and controls systems, including PLCs and DCS platforms.
• Cleanroom, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, chemical processing, or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• Experience working within Process Safety Management (PSM) environments.
