About the Role:
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of capacity expansion, distribution, and cable program initiatives that are critical to maintaining system reliability and advancing grid modernization efforts.
This role will oversee multiple large-scale capital projects across programs including voltage optimization, system cable, capacity improvements, and performance enhancement initiatives. The Project Manager will manage projects from engineering design through construction across a broad service territory.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across engineering, construction, and external partners
- Oversee projects from initiation through closeout, including contract development and management
- Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement corrective actions
- Manage project budgets (up to $5M ) and ensure delivery within financial targets
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain all project documentation, schedules, and reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards
- Support continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices
Qualifications:
- Experience working within or supporting the electric utility environment (distribution, transmission, or grid infrastructure)
- Understanding of engineering design and construction practices, including overhead and underground systems
- Proven experience managing large-scale capital projects (not small-scale initiatives)
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or other technical discipline preferred)
- Experience managing contractors and working with RFP processes
- Forecasting and budget management experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with project management tools and software
- Minimum 3 years of related project management experience
