About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Safety Lead to lead field safety execution across major construction projects. This role is responsible for implementing and enforcing company safety policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture across all project operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction safety experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily field safety activities by monitoring job-site conditions, identifying unsafe acts and conditions, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed in a timely manner.
- Partner with project management, supervisors, and foremen to enforce company safety policies, client requirements, and OSHA standards while promoting proactive hazard recognition and mitigation.
- Conduct new-hire orientations, regulatory training, toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings, and monthly Safety Committee meetings while maintaining accurate and auditable documentation.
- Perform routine and formal safety inspections, audits, and field observations for both company personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project and company safety expectations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with client and subcontractor safety representatives regarding site safety coordination, SIMOPS activities, and evolving field conditions.
- Lead incident investigations involving injuries, near misses, and SIF-potential events, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned communication.
- Assist project teams with pre-job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and action planning to reduce occupational injuries and exposures.
- Administer site safety programs, including subcontractor onboarding, substance abuse compliance, and safety documentation management.
- Prepare and communicate safety performance reports, incident trends, and field observations to Regional Safety Management and project leadership.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to site safety personnel to ensure consistent field coverage, accountability, and alignment with company and client safety expectations.
- Support a positive safety culture through continuous improvement initiatives and active employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related technical field required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience on large-scale industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Experience working in high-risk construction environments preferred.

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
