About the Role:
The Assistant Facility Director supports the daily maintenance, repair, and operational functions across multiple housing installations within an assigned region. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong facilities management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and motivate maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Facility Manager/Director in day-to-day oversight of maintenance operations, financial reporting, team performance, and customer service.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing a skilled and engaged maintenance team.
- Participate in routine property inspections to ensure proper upkeep and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Aid in forecasting maintenance, staffing, and budgeting needs while helping implement effective scheduling and workflow programs to meet resident satisfaction goals.
- Attend and support LifeWorks community events as required.
- Perform physical job duties including tool use, equipment operation, stooping, climbing, balancing, and lifting items up to 75 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Universal HVAC certification preferred; strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, budgeting, and contract preparation.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in facilities management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Yardi experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with local building codes and OSHA standards, including Hazmat, EPA, and Universal Waste guidelines.

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
