Allied Resources Group is hiring a Project Accountant to manage project accounting functions within our business unit. This role will focus on project setup, billing processes, revenue recognition, and financial reporting to support effective project management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of project accounting from initial setup to ongoing maintenance.
- Review and adjust time and expense charges for accuracy.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and timely billing processes.
- Conduct Work in Progress (WIP) analysis and reconciliation.
- Review timesheets for hourly billing and prepare monthly invoices.
- Collaborate with project managers to obtain necessary contract support documents and maintain electronic filing of executed contracts.
- Track unbilled hours and monitor project budgets.
- Post invoices in the accounting system and file contracts in designated folders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior billing and/or accounting experience preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently while accepting direction as needed.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and project-driven financial reporting.
