Working Lead – Pokémon Packaging & Assembly

Position: Production / Packaging Lead Associate
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm - 11:30pm
Pay: $17/hr.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Working Lead to join our production team at Bennett Packaging.

This position combines regular production and packaging duties with additional responsibilities for checking in temporary employees, tracking attendance, and assisting with daily timekeeping.

The Working Lead will work directly alongside production associates assembling Pokémon trading card displays and promotional products while helping ensure smooth daily operations.

This is a hands-on working position, not a traditional supervisory or office role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing repetitive assembly tasks while taking on additional responsibility for employee coordination and attendance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Packaging

  • Work alongside production associates assembling and packaging Pokémon trading card displays and promotional products.

  • Fold and assemble cardboard boxes and display materials.

  • Insert trading cards, promotional items, and other small components into packaging.

  • Apply glue dots, adhesives, and other packaging materials.

  • Assist with plastic wrapping, sealing, boxing, and preparing finished products for shipment.

  • Perform repetitive, small-piece assembly tasks while maintaining quality and production pace.

  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and packaging quality.

  • Rotate between production stations as needed to support daily production goals.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.

Employee Check-In & Attendance

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned temporary employees at the beginning of each shift.

  • Check in temporary employees daily and verify attendance.

  • Track employee absences, late arrivals, and early departures.

  • Communicate attendance issues, no-shows, and staffing shortages to the staffing agency and onsite management.

  • Help direct temporary employees to their assigned production lines and workstations.

  • Answer basic employee questions and communicate any concerns to the appropriate team members.

Timekeeping & Daily Coordination

  • Assist with recording and verifying temporary employees' daily work hours.

  • Help track clock-in and clock-out times, lunch breaks, and attendance discrepancies.

  • Identify missing punches or inaccurate time records and communicate necessary corrections.

  • Work closely with the staffing agency to ensure accurate timekeeping information is submitted for payroll processing.

  • Maintain organized attendance and timekeeping records.

  • Balance administrative responsibilities with regular hands-on production duties.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 10 hours per shift.

  • Ability to lift approximately 5–20 lbs.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the shift.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.

  • Strong attendance and reliability.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to accurately track employee attendance and work hours.

  • Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Previous lead experience is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to multitask and transition between production responsibilities and employee coordination.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to lead by example.

Work Environment & Breaks

  • Large warehouse and production facility with multiple active assembly lines.

  • Production lines typically consist of approximately 20–40 employees, each responsible for a specific step in the assembly process.

  • 30-minute lunch break during the shift.

  • Water and restroom breaks permitted as needed with communication to the line lead.

  • Team-oriented environment with opportunities to learn additional skills.

Opportunities for Growth

This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on production experience while developing leadership, communication, and administrative skills.

Employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and initiative may have opportunities to advance into positions such as:

  • Production Line Lead

  • Quality Control Inspector

  • Machine Operator

  • Forklift Operator

  • Production Supervisor

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable, detail-oriented, and willing to lead by example.

The ideal candidate understands that their primary responsibility is to work alongside the production team while also helping manage daily employee check-ins, attendance, and timekeeping.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work but is ready to take on additional responsibility and develop leadership skills.
