Mechanical Assembler
What You’ll Do
- Assemble electro-mechanical generator systems per drawings, schematics, SOPs, and work orders
- Build/assemble electrical control panels, breaker panels, and transformers
- Install wiring, harnesses, connectors, circuit boards, power supplies, labels, and hardware into chassis
- Route/bundle/terminate wiring; crimp pins, perform connector termination, and inspect finished work (rework as needed)
- Use hand tools and power/air tools; operate overhead cranes to move products/equipment
- Measure/verify tolerances and clearances using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and torque tools
- Solder components and fasten parts to assemblies/subassemblies
- Perform basic troubleshooting/repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment (may include PLC-related troubleshooting)
- Pull parts inventory, drill/tap/ream holes, inspect parts, correct defects, and complete required paperwork
- Maintain housekeeping/line clearance and support continuous improvement/lean practices
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in manufacturing/mechanical assembly
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and production schedules
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work overtime as needed
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Physical / Work Environment
- Regular standing, bending, crouching, and working around equipment while wearing PPE - steel toed shoes
- Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Warehouse environment (non-air-conditioned/heated) with possible outdoor exposure; dust, noise, fumes, and temperature/humidity changes
Electrical Assembler Schedule: 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday
Must be open to working overtime until 4:30 and some Saturdays
