Duties
- Build, improve, and maintain scalable data pipelines and Python-based solutions.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize code for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Partner with software engineers, architects, actuaries, and analysts to solve complex business and data challenges.
- Work with large datasets and existing SQL-based systems while improving processes, data quality, and overall system performance.
- 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on Python development.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including writing clean, maintainable code and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to understand and work with data; advanced SQL is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new data concepts, ask the right questions, and work independently in an established technical environment.
- Nice to Have: Experience with ETL/data pipelines, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, data warehousing, or other data-intensive applications.
