What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Team Lead position at Allied Engineering and Design?
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of capital projects typically $10K–$2M (equipment installs, utility upgrades, cleanroom modifications, tooling moves, mezzanine/platforms, HVAC/controls, minor process improvements).
- Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and procurement strategies.
- Manage vendor selection, RFQs, contracts, and subcontractor performance; coordinate installation, site acceptance, and punch-list completion.
- Ensure projects meet SEMI/industry, local building codes, EHS, cleanroom contamination control, and facility safety requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders: operations, process engineering, facilities, EH&S, quality, procurement, and maintenance to minimize production disruption.
- Maintain project documentation: schedules, drawings, P&IDs, change orders, commissioning protocols, test reports, and as-built records.
- Track project financials: cost-to-complete, change order impacts, PO management, and close-out financial reconciliation.
- Drive risk mitigation and issue resolution; escalate as needed and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and supervise commissioning, qualification (as applicable), and turnover to operations; support post-installation validation and lessons learned.
- Maintain clear communication with site leadership and provide regular status reporting (RAG, milestones, spend).
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes, templates, and contractor management.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Industrial) is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading capital projects in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiar with SAP, and have the ability to quickly learn new methodologies and software applications (training on project methodology and project software applications provided).
Salary : $140,000 - $165,000
